B.B.A. (Part-II) Resarch methods

Subject      : Resarch methods Time : 3 Hrs

Paper : 202


Section A : - All ten questions are compulsory. Each questions is to be attempted in 50 words. Each question carries 2 marks.

Section B : - Attempt any three questions. Each question is to be attempted in 500 words. Each question carries 10 marks.
Section C :-  One question case study is compulsory and carries 20 marks.

1. Diffarnce between applied and fundamental reserch.
2. Write a note on stratified sampling
3. Give the criteria of good research
4. Differnce between questionniare and schedule
5. Explain type  I& type- II errors
6. What  is null hypothesis ?
7. What  are non parameteric tests ? Name any  two.
8. Give any four methods of primary data collection.
9. If  = 25: Median =24 , find mode ?
10. If bxy =0.51 & byx= 0.63. find coeff of correlation (r)

Section- B
11. What do you mean by business research? Explain the different  types of research.
12. What is the difference between primary & secondary data. Explain in detail the different methods of primary data collection.
13. The following table gives monthly sales of certain firm in three states by its four salesmen.

State whether the difference between sales affected by the four salesmen and difference between sales affected in three states are significant. Set up Anova table.
14. A sample of 400 male students is found to have a mean height 67.47 inches. Can it be reasonably regarded as a sample from a large population with mean height 67.37 inches and standard deviation 1.30 inches ? Test at 5% significance level.
15. Give the significance of report writing. Explain the different steps in writing a report . Give the format.

16. Eight coins were tossed 256 times and following results  were obtained;
